Acupuncture is an ancient art that has been successfully practiced for over 4000 years. This ancient art has held up over the centuries, as modern scientific studies have shown that acupuncture can be effective at treating pain and other ailments.

By inserting thin needles into very specific parts of your body, pain and tension can feel like it is sliding away. On occasion, our classically trained, medically certified acupuncture practitioners will add a small electrical or heat stimulation to the acupuncture locations to further enhance the reparative powers of this time-honored treatment.

Why should I consider acupuncture?

Acupuncture has been observed to significantly reduce the effects of migraine headaches, back and joint pain, fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis. Patients have also expressed that acupuncture restores their mind/body balance, and positively influences their mind’s perception of pain.

In just 30 minutes per session, this nearly-painless treatment can help stimulate your body’s natural healing response, increase blood-flow to painful areas of your body, and reduce your overall level of pain.

What is an acupuncture session like?

Once you realize that acupuncture can help you live a more pain-free life, you will see that an acupuncture session with us can benefit your overall health. When you arrive for your appointment, one of our experienced acupuncturists will discuss your acupuncture plan with you, based off of the latest acupuncture techniques. Then, disposable, sterile needles will be expertly placed just below the skin into one of your body’s 350 acupuncture points, to provide you with maximum pain relief.

For 30 relaxing minutes, the needles remain in place, as your body is stimulated to generate its own painkillers, and begin the restorative process. Patients report little-to-no pain during this entire process. Instead, you will feel subtle movements of energy as their body responds to the effects of these ancient healing techniques. After your session is complete, the needles are carefully removed and disposed.
